Overview

Chezare “Chez” Palacios is an associate attorney in Winderweedle, Haines, Ward & Woodman’s Real Estate Section. His practice focuses on transactional real estate matters, including commercial leasing, commercial financial transactions, and matters relating to acquisitions and sales, title, and other due diligence of commercial property. He also assists clients with due diligence, including contract review, chain-of-title matters, surveys, and lien releases and discharges.

Before joining Winderweedle, Chez served as in-house counsel for a large title insurance company, where he managed title matters for complex commercial and residential real estate transactions. His experience also includes assisting with the resolution of title litigation matters involving quiet title actions, probate, forgery, lien priority, and subrogation.

Originally from South Florida, Chez is of Cuban descent and fluent in Spanish. He earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering, cum laude, from Florida Atlantic University and his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Technology Law & Policy. His engineering background provides an additional perspective that complements his work in real estate transactions, particularly with survey related matters.

Chez is admitted to practice law in Florida and New York. In Florida, he is a member of The Florida Bar’s Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section.
