Maheen Akhter

Maheen Akhter is a real estate and corporate attorney representing both regional and national clients in all aspects of commercial real estate, with a focus on buying and selling commercial real estate, commercial leasing, and commercial lending. Her practice also involves handling title and survey matters, land use, vendor agreements and general corporate matters, such as entity formation and governance.

Prior experience includes work at a private equity company focused on buying and selling affordable multifamily apartment complexes and she practiced law with several prominent regional law firms, in the area of transactional commercial real estate.

Maheen earned her J.D. from Emory University School of Law, where she served as the Vice President of the South Asian Bar Association and was an active member of the Real Estate Society.  She is admitted to both The Florida Bar and State Bar of Georgia.

In her free time, she enjoys going on walks with her family, learning the piano, traveling, and trying new restaurants.
