About The Firm

Who We Are

WHWW-Group 2025

Since 1931, Winderweedle, Haines, Ward & Woodman, P.A. has been a cornerstone of the Central Florida legal community, providing exceptional legal counsel to businesses, individuals, and institutions. The firm was built on a foundation of integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to client service—principles that continue to guide us today.

W.E. “Red” Winderweedle and Webber Haines first set up shop in downtown Orlando, and despite the economic conditions of the 1930’s, became well-known and successful attorneys.  In the following years, the attorneys moved to Winter Park and began to expand the firm and its practice areas to meet the evolving demands of clients across Central Florida. Through strategic growth, the addition of distinguished attorneys, and the development of deep industry knowledge, Winderweedle has become one of the region’s most respected full-service law firms.

Throughout our history, we have represented clients in pivotal moments—whether guiding businesses through complex transactions, advocating for clients in litigation, or advising families on estate and wealth planning. Our attorneys have played instrumental roles in shaping Central Florida’s legal and business landscape, providing trusted counsel to entrepreneurs, developers, financial institutions, government entities, businesses both small and large, and families.

While our firm has grown in size and scope, we have remained true to our founding values as we deliver high-quality legal services, foster lasting client relationships, and maintain a deep commitment to our community. Today, Winderweedle continues to uphold the legacy of excellence established by our founders.

As we look to the future, we remain dedicated to innovation, leadership, and the unwavering pursuit of legal excellence. Our firm’s rich history serves as both foundation and inspiration as we continue to serve the legal needs of clients across Florida and beyond.

Winderweedle, Haines, Ward & Woodman, P.A. traces its roots to a time when Central Florida was a much smaller place. From the time that “Red” Winderweedle and Webber Haines set up to practice law in downtown Orlando in 1931, despite the ongoing Great Depression, they began a tradition of involvement in the community which continues today.

Winderweedle lawyers have historically been at the forefront of volunteer service in area schools, charities, churches, youth programs, and other organizations which aim to improve the lives and prospects of our entire community.

Our lawyers have served as officers or board members of, to name only a few, Rollins College, the Winter Park Health Foundation, the Coalition for the Homeless, Lake Highland Preparatory School, Trinity Preparatory School, the Morse and Genius Foundations, United Cerebral Palsy of Central Florida Foundation, local Rotary organizations, Leadership and Chamber of Commerce programs, the metropolitan and local YMCA boards, the Orlando Historical Society, the Winter Park Day Nursery, and many more.

We encourage our lawyers to play leadership roles in the community because we believe that improving our community helps everyone.
