
Richard B. Weinman is Of Counsel to the law firm of Winderweedle, Haines, Ward & Woodman, P.A., practicing in the firm's Orlando office. He practices in the firm's litigation practice area, representing clients in business disputes throughout Florida. His practice is concentrated on general business/commercial litigation and creditor's rights. He has particular experience defending actions brought under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
Prior to rejoining the firm in 2009, Mr. Weinman served as AVP and Division Counsel to Fidelity National Information Services, Inc. (a Fortune 500 company), where he managed litigation and provided compliance and general counsel to the company's check services, collections and gaming divisions (formerly, subsidiaries of Certegy, Inc.).
Mr. Weinman is the Florida State Chair of American Collectors Association International Member's Attorney Program (MAP). He is admitted to appear in the circuit and district courts of appeal throughout the State of Florida. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts in the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida. Mr. Weinman is a member of the Florida Bar Association and the Orange County Bar Association. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2000.
Mr. Weinman was born in Winter Park, Florida in 1974. He graduated from the University of Florida in 1996. He received his Master of Business Administration from Stetson University School of Business Administration, and his Juris Doctor cum laude from Stetson University's College of Law in 1999.
