Robert P. Major

Robert P. Major received his A.A. from Daytona Beach Community College, graduating with honors in 1979. He attended the University of Central Florida, where he earned his B.A., graduating summa cum laude in 1982; and obtained his J.D. at the University of Florida (cum laude, 1985). He was a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Delta Phi and a member of the University of Florida Law Review.

Mr. Major was admitted to the bar in 1985, admitted to practice in Florida and U.S. District Court, Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. In 1987, he was admitted to practice in the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit and the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Florida.

Mr. Major’s background includes serving as Instructor, Appellate Advocacy, University of Florida, Fall, 1984 and Adjunct Instructor, Department of Legal Studies and Criminal Justice, University of Central Florida, Orlando, Florida, 1993-1994. His considerable speaking experience includes “Lawyering in the 21st Century: Practical Tips on Automating Your Practice,” The Florida Bar, 1998; “Basic Technology for the Legal Practice,” The Florida Bar, 1999 and 2000 and “Comprehensive General Liability: Coverage Part A,” Sterling Education Services Seminar, “Litigator’s Guide To Liability Insurance,” 2003.

Listed in Best’s Directory of Recommended Insurance Attorneys, Mr. Major is also a member of the Florida Justice Association, the Orange County Bar Association and The Florida Bar. Martindale-Hubbell recognizes him as an AV rated attorney.
