Michael C. Caborn

Michael C. Caborn practices in the Orlando office of Winderweedle, Haines, Ward and Woodman. He handles a wide variety of civil matters and disputes throughout Florida.  Michael’s areas of practice include appellate practice, banking, bankruptcy, creditors rights and collections, litigation, real property, securities and receiverships. He has a great deal of experience litigating mortgage foreclosure disputes and subsequent deficiency disputes. These disputes commonly involve settlement negotiations, workouts and the cleanup of problems related to loan documentation and title to real property. Michael also handles bankruptcy disputes on behalf of creditors statewide.

Mr. Caborn was admitted as a member of The Florida Bar in 1999. He is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. He is a member of the American Bar Association and The Florida Bar’s Trial Lawyers and Business Law Sections. He is also member of the Orange County Bar Association and its Residential Mortgage Foreclosure Mediation (RMFM) Committee. He has lectured on mortgage foreclosure law for the National Business Institute.  

Mr. Caborn received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida, where he majored in history. He earned his law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. He is a member of the University of Florida Hall of Fame.
